Welcome To Kirstie's Frenchie's
I hope you enjoy your browse of our site, please if you have a spare minute before you leave please sign the guestbook :)
Hi, my name is Kirstie and I live in Leadgate in County Durham with my 4 dogs and gorgeous french lop rabbits ohh and can't forget my very patient husband. I only breed my chunky rabbits as a hobby as i enjoy it and also to help me over come my illness as they are very relaxing :)
We have always kept rabbits but, since buying my first frenchie buck Vinnie from a very good friend of ours, i fell in love with the breed and decided to get another as they are very addictive!! As anyone who keeps these GENTLE GIANTS will agree!!
We are occasional breeders, which means we have maybe one litter or 2 a year if that ensuring a long rest period in between.
From time to time we breed which result in gorgeous chunky kits with cheeky personalities which definatley show, they aren't shy thats for sure!!
Any monies that come from the selling of our kits and sometimes adults all go back into the rabbits for food, vet bills, housing etc I DO NOT MAKE ANYTHING FROM BREEDING the rabbits get 100% from it which isthe way it should be ! We only house a few french lops ensuring they get the best of attention and care they could possibly want.
Colours im working with are ....
Opal
Beige
Sooty Fawn
Agouti In both solid and butterfly
Blues in solid and otter
*Steel free unless stated otherwise*
we also have other colours available aswel please see for sale pages for more info.
OUR BUNNIES
All our bunnies are well cared for and looked after, even the babies when we have them are spoiled rotten!! They are handled daily and love to run round either in the garden or the house and on sunny days they have the benefit of both!
They are at the minute fed on Chudleys rabbit royal mixed with sweet meadow mix food and fresh veg and fruit, they seem to also be partial to necturines as they try and pinch it from your fingers lol.
Our babies when we have them mix with our dogs and cat aswell which makesthem very friendly and prepares them for their new homes as most people have other pets.
We dont breed for profit as anyone who has these pets know, its just a hobby and all proceeds go back to the happy loving bunnies themselves for vet treatment (when needed) housing, food, bedding etc..... We certainly do not breed and breed! there is atleast a 6 month break up to an eight month break from litters from the mating to mating again, this ensures our does have a nice break and stay as healthy as possible to ensure healthy babies.
We do not cross our rabbits so what is advertised is exactly what you will see and hopefully add to your household. They make ideal pets either for the home or outdoor. Our babies are litter trained as they are, from birth, in the house with their mum, who is litter trained.
I am sorry but i will not stud out my bucks so please do not ask as it will only dissappoint when i say no.
